I would move outside of InfluxDB for an alerting system.
I would use the client libraries or API.

Thank you. Today I’m using influxdb2 + Kapacitor and Slack.
It seems the built in alerting system of the influxdb2 isn’t good enough. for example “deadman” feature and moving from CRITICAL to OK state. In Kapacitor it works OK. Some of the alerts I wrote in Python.
It seems I should stick with Kapacitor for the time being because there is no EOL plan for the Kapacitor.
