Unified binary for InfluxDB 2.0 and Telegraf?

Hi,

I’ve read that for InfluxDB 2.0, there is a single unified binary for the entire TICK stack.

However, on some of our edge nodes, we just need Telegraf deployed, to collect the metrics to send to our InfluxDB instance.

Do we still deploy the entire InfluxDB 2.0 binary on these nodes, or is there a standalone Telegraf 2.X we should use?

InfluxDB 2 does not contain Telegraf, it contains all the other components (InfluxDB, Chronograf, Kapacitor).
Also there is no Telegraf 2.X, you just need to configure telegraf to write into influxDB 2 (there is a specific output)

So the unified InfluxDB 2.0 binary is just for the “ICK” part of “TICK”? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Got it, can keep using the Telegraf binary for our metric collection.
