Logging the message of an alert to InfluxDB

Hello,

In the following thread, Nathaniel indicates that it is possible to log the alert message to InfluxDB as of Kapacitor 1.1. However, I don’t see a way to do this. Can anyone help?

@sloach Have you looked at the InfluxDBOut() node?

Yeah, I see it is “messageField”. I was looking at an old version of the docs.

As an aside, have you guys noticed that Google searches for your documentation almost always returns old versions? I have gotten bitten by this quite a bit.

@sloach Yeah. This has been a long standing issue. We display a modal at the top of the page if the docs you are reading aren’t from the current version. Did you see that on those older docs?
