Hello,
I am new to InfluxDB and I want to use it for my bachelor thesis project.
My question is: Is influxDB free to use for unlimited time and also can the data be store for unlimited time?
I want to host the database only in my local network using docker.
When I try to set it up it also alwas asks me for a bucket id and this makes me wondering if it is really free to use without any restrictions.

Hi and welcome. Yes, it is 100% free to use the OSS version. The bucket id can be obtained once you create a bucket.
