May I ask though, what are you trying to do with Kapacitor. Maybe we can just do it with Flux and tasks instead since you’re using 2.1??

What type of forecasting algorithm are you using?
Yes you could use kapacitor and create a UDF Write socket-based user-defined functions (UDFs) | Kapacitor 1.6 Documentation

However you might also want to look into using flux with lambda and implementing your forecasting that way.
