@psp316r It is stored on Azure Cloud, but in the infrastructure managed by InfluxDB Cloud. When you sign up through the marketplace, all billing is handled through Azure, but servers do not belong to your Azure account.
Hi @scott ,
Thanks for the quick reply, I was going through the docs, you mean the Servers(Kubernetes Cluster) is of Influx but the data is stored on the Azure cloud ?
Thanks,
Shashi,
Correct. InfluxDB Cloud provides clusters hosted on Azure in the West Europe and East US regions.
Hey @scott ,
how can I prove to my Client that the Time series data is Stored on Azure Cloud not on the Influx Cloud, Can I see the TimeSeriesData anywhere on the Azure ?
Thanks,
Shashi.
InfluxDB Cloud is a managed platform built on top of AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. As as user, you do not have access to the underlying servers. Those are managed by InfluxData. If you sign up for InfluxDB Cloud through the Azure marketplace, billing for InfluxDB Cloud is included with all other Azure billing rather than paying for it separately.
Hi @scott ,
Sorry ask the same question, understood that the severs/infra is with/manage by influxdata, but the data is stored in Azure right ? if we setup Influxdb from Azure marketplace.
I just wanna confirm that Influx DB Time series data is in Azure only…
Thanks,
Shashi.
Hi @scott …
Any update ?
if we setup INFLUX with Azure Marketplace will data resides with Influx Cloud or with Azure ?
Thanks,
Shashi
InfluxDB Cloud is not a standalone cloud provider. It is built on top of multiple cloud providers. When you sign up for a specific InfluxDB Cloud provider and region, your time series data is stored on that provider’s servers in that specific region.
Will data reside in InfluxDB Cloud? Yes.
Will data reside in Azure? Yes.
If you select an Azure region when creating your InfluxDB Cloud organization, you are choosing to use the version of InfluxDB Cloud is built on top of Azure and all data stored by InfluxDB Cloud is stored in Azure servers.
