Write data to specified database and measurement with specified columns

IS it possible to write data into a specified column of a measurement in database.

Can you give an example of what you’re trying to do?

I have some data in the format
{“key1” => “val1”, “key2” => “val2”, “key3” => “val3”}, {“key1” => “val4”, “key2” => “val5”, “key3” => “val6”}

  1. Create a measurement with name measurement123
  2. Would like to store in an existing database with a measurement name in this format
    Select * from measurement123
    time | key1 | Key2 | key3|
    *** | val1 | val2 | val3|
    *** | val2 | val3 | val4|

Is it possible? Could you tell me any workaround to achieve this

There’s no workaround necessary. Just write the line protocol.

$ curl -XPOST http://localhost:8086/query --data-urlencode "q=CREATE DATABASE test"
{"results":[{"statement_id":0}]}

$ curl -XPOST http://localhost:8086/write?db=test --data-binary 'measurement123 key1="val1",key2="val2",key3="val3"'

$ curl -XPOST http://localhost:8086/write?db=test --data-binary 'measurement123 key1="val4",key2="val5",key3="val6"'

$ curl -XPOST http://localhost:8086/query?db=test --data-urlencode "q=SELECT * FROM measurement123"
{"results":[{"statement_id":0,"series":[{"name":"measurement123","columns":["time","key1","key2","key3"],"values":[["2017-06-28T17:59:01.390056951Z","val1","val2","val3"],["2017-06-28T17:59:10.903877086Z","val4","val5","val6"]]}]}]}
