I want to upgrade our influxdb on-prem installation from 1.3.2 to 1.7.x and have a couple of questions about the upgrade. I’ll be following the upgrade process outlined in the “Upgrading Influxdb 1.3/1.4 (no TSI Preview) to 1.7.x (tsi enabled)” section
- We increased max-series-per-database with TSI do [data] settings need to be migrated over?
- is there an template 1.7.x configuration file I can pre-configure before upgrading?
- is there an estimate on how much time converting TSM shards to TSI shards takes? we have ~3000 shards ranging in size from a few MB to several hundred MB
Since this is our production system I need to be able to upgrade with as little downtime as possible
