I’ve made use of the latest data available to get the most recent influxdata-archive.key, including the latest blog about key rotation.
However, the latest key still has a subkey that trips up apt update with “NO_PUBKEY D8FF8E1F7DF8B07E”

What OS version are you running? The key uses subkeys, but if you’re on Ubuntu < 20.04 or Debian < 10, you’ll need the version that doesn’t have subkeys, linked on this page as influxdata-archive_compat.key
Otherwise, the error you’re getting is that your system is missing the key - make sure you’re installing the key with gpg properly, as both the current key and new key should be working.
