I would like to bring down the processor usage on influxdb-1.5.2-1.x86_64, how to trace what is going on?

How should I debug what influxdb is using cpu cycles for. I only receive measurements of 4 ceph nodes and have 1 grafana dashboard yet this influxdb server is consuming much more cpu than the mysql/postgres I have that are being used by a lot of websites.

I would like to see what is causing this cpu usage and then change this to bring this down. What would be the steps to discover this.
