Building telegraf plugins is a pain in the ass. Are there plans to use Golang’s plugin architecture? Or something like this: GitHub - hashicorp/go-plugin: Golang plugin system over RPC. ?
Nothing in the short term, but we have looked into this from time to time.
I find most users can get by with the exec or execd input plugins if they need a custom plugin.
