Frustrated: influxdb 3 core

Greetings

Downloaded db3 core for windows then doing this

influxdb3.exe serve --node-id node01 --object-store=file --data-dir ./influxdb-data

created admin token because it was complaining about missing token. (no idea how I used the token or where I install it if needed)

I then hit localhost:8181 and nothing happens. What is going on.

I tell you influxdb has been a great product so far but things do not look good for this product with so many amazing and talented people in that ship.

after careful review of things, it was an issue with not reading the docu thoroughly. I take it back :slight_smile: great product!

@abandon_ship I’m glad to hear you figured it out. It sounds like there needs to be better messaging from startup that helps you identify the port as well.
