My apologies for what is probably a really dumb question.
I am new to influxdb and have signed up to a free tier cloud account. I am starting to look at alerting, however have no menu item visable (on the left). Picture attached.

With InfluxDB Cloud serverless we have stripped back a lot of these features to focus on the overall database performance. I would highly suggest looking into:
- Grafana Clouds Alerts
- Node-Red / Flow Forge
- quix.io
