I want to know how to send a notification of alert to an email

To setup an alert in grafana, you first need to create a notification channel with the email address that you want to send to. From there, when you go to the alert panel in a grafana query, you will then be able to select that notification channel and send the alert.
yes i did all these steps but the notification alert is not sending to email, i receive this msg, by the way i want to know if i should install smtp server in virtual machine or not and thank you

The grafana.ini file has an SMTP block where you can put SMTP credentials, endpoint, etc if you already have an email server or service that allows SMTP access. If you don’t have an email server, you would need to set one up.
