How does Influxdb handle unavailable storage space? Do we get notified in the gui? or does influxdb use FIFO automatically.

It depends on your retention policies. If you have an infinite retention policy then I believe you’ll just get write errors for OSS and Cloud. You will get notified. The usage page might interest you and this might interest you:
