Use InfluxDB in a product

I am planning to create a product where I want to include InfluxDB as database.

I will not sell it as a company, I will sell it as a private person, as a hobby, which is legal to do in my country.

I will not add tax or bill for tax, there will not even be a receipt.

I this possible to do according to your license?

Hi @flopp,

InfluxDB is MIT licensed. This is probably the most permissive licence there is. You can do anything :+1:

There is one requirement, quoting from the LICENSE:

The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all
copies or substantial portions of the Software.

So long as you do this then you’re good.

  1. If I install InfluxDB on a RPi, the license will be included, correct?

  2. Do you mean I need to add a text file on the hard drive with the license?

  3. Send a paper copy of the license?
