Telegraf CPU high usage

What could cause so high CPU usage by Telegraf? What is the best way how to optimize process ?

I would start isolating which plugin is causing the high output by using the process of elimination. Other pieces of information that would be useful are which version of Telegraf and the amount of metrics that are being produced/handled.

If you are feeling like digging in deeper, try enabling the profiler.

I was having a similar problem with v1.8.0, upgrading to 1.8.1 fixed it.
