InfluxDB 3 Enterprise Trial License

Dear Team,

We are unable to activate the trial license for InfluxDB 3 Enterprise.

We are running the following version:

  • Product: InfluxDB 3 Enterprise
  • Version: 3.11.2
  • Revision: 9f763b7fe93da443e911bd9fd12820e8f1b8ee90
  • Operating System: Windows

We are using the following command:

.\influxdb3.exe serve --cluster-id cluster0 --node-id node0 --object-store file --data-dir "C:\InfluxDB3\data" --license-type trial --license-email "gamil.com"

The server fails during license initialization with the following error:

Attempting to retrieve license from server.
No valid license found: Requested license not available.
Serve command failed: License management error: failed to initialize trial license: UnexpectedLicenseResponse(411)

We have tried multiple email addresses and receive the same error. We have also confirmed that there is no proxy configured on the server.

Could you please help us resolve this issue and activate the trial license?

I believe the issue here is that you’re not providing an actual email for the license email. gamil.com is just a domain, make sure you provide a valid email address, and then you’ll be able to verify your email to get a proper trial license.
