Any idea ?

Hello @aditya,
I’m not sure can you please provide some more context and what you were trying to do and how you were doing it?
Thanks!

@Anaisdg
I am simply trying to bring up the influxd (v1.7) by accessing influxd binary in environment with heavy injection rate ( million rows per minute).

Initially we tried with TSM, after few hrs when we tried to restart the influx but it took almost 45min to start serving the requests.

And it was printing this sometimes during coming up.

So, realized that TSM isnt a option.

Hence, I changed the engine TSI. and started seeing following logs
2020/09/04 14:41:06 http: Accept error: accept tcp [::]:8086: accept4: too many open files; retrying in 160ms

2020/09/04 14:41:06 http: Accept error: accept tcp [::]:8086: accept4: too many open files; retrying in 320ms

File descriptors used by influxd process is strictly <1024. and ulimit is set to unlimited.
I am tuning this on pretty powerful machine of RAM ~200GM Cores(without hyper threading) ~60
