When we see max-cache-memory-size exceeded errors in our influxdb logs, does this mean that there are data points actually being dropped, and never written to influxdb?
Using influxdb 1.4.

Can you please share the exact error you’re getting?
If it’s this error:
They’re not being written.

So, if we are sending data to influxdb via telegraf, are those data points literally lost, or does telegraf cache them?
