Collectd service not started

I have a home automation system that pushes out sensor data and collectd data to a windows 10 server running influxdb.
The sensodata is collected, but i can’t get collectd to work!

Any hints/clues? I saw a stdout from someone else that had “starting collectd service” in there…

influxdb.conf:

[collectd]
enabled = true
bind-address = ":25826"
database = "collectd"
typesdb = "C:\Huset - Instrumenteringslogg\influxdb-1.7.8-1\types.db"
batch-size = 5000
batch-pending = 10
batch-timeout = "10s"
read-buffer = 0

stdout from starting influxdb:

Do you have the network plugin for collectd enabled?

All I did in Influx was to create the database using chronograf, and setting the settings shown above in the conf file. is there more hoops to jump through?

The data sender is active, i see it sending collectd protocol packages (using wireshark)…

Bump! Still wondering why i can’t get this up and running…

I was reading a few articles and it looks like you have to enable the collectd network plugin on the collectd side. Are you running this in containers?

Collectd is running on a openWRT system (Vera Plus), and when i use wireshark, I see Collectd packages coming from that system. That makes it seem like something is being sent, but not recieved on the server computer? I checked that the firewall on the win10 machine is open on that port, so I can’t figure it out…

As I may have mentioned before, it doesn’t show “starting collectd service” in the influxdb logs? i think its supposed to have that?

Thanks for pitching in. :slight_smile:
