Can we assign new retention policy to existing data?

I have the data with retention policy ‘X’. Can I change the retention policy to ‘Y’ for that existing data?

Hi @aditya,

You cannot replace the retention policy
for existing data but you can alter the
existing retention policy.

You can also create a new retention policy
and copy your data into that new retention policy.

Thanks for your response. If we delete the retention policy, then all the data in that RP will have default RP for that database. right ?

it will remove all your data in that RP!
