I am currently using the restore and backup features as a way to migrate data from an air-gapped edge computing use case to an internal server for further ETL ingestion. So far everything works as expected aside from one glaring issue - I can’t seem to get rid of the retention policy of the backed-up bucket, causing loss of data upon backing up. This used to be a feature in pre-2.0 that has gone missing. Is there a smart way to get around this? Is there any chance this will be rectified and added to the restore CLI in the future? Please advise because this is dampening our adoption strategy.
