A new feature bearing release for InfluxDB Enterprise is now available along with a maintenance release for InfluxDB OSS.

This the first official release of InfluxDB Enterprise on the 1.6 line.

Key highlights for the Enterprise release include:

  • The Anti-Entropy (AE) service now provides the ability to repair shards and eliminate inconsistencies, in addition to detecting missing shards.
  • LDAP is now supported as a backing store for user permissions.
  • Additional TLS configuration options are also available allowing for a more precise configuration related to TLS version and specification of allowed ciphers.
  • Back-pressure features are available to help prevent clusters from being overwhelmed with writes and hinted-handoff.
Features released with InfluxDB 1.6 OSS and all subsequent defect fixes from versions 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 are available with InfluxDB Enterprise 1.6.2.
