"_monitoring" bucket not

Hello all,

I am trying to link to the _monitoring bucket from grafana but it does not show, is there a way to do this?
I have trawled the forum to no avail.

Any help would be greatly received

Are you able to link to other buckets? What approach are you taking? Finally, have you tried asking in Grafana community?

Hi @Anaisdg

I can link to the user created buckets using the buckets() query, but it does not pull back the _monitoring or the _tasks system buckets.

Are you using an all access token? That might solve your problem.

So I am not sure if I want to use an all access token in my grafana config to get monitoring bucket data. I don’t want to give that much permission out to a front-end system. Why is the monitoring bucket so sacred? Why isn’t it included in the list if it is so integral to the alert feature?
