I’m just wondering what is the best place to file bug reports on influxdb server instances.
Do you have a bug tracker system, bug reporting guidelines, etc?

GitHub issues seems to be the appropriate place. It even has a nice bug report template:

@hallvar You are correct just follow the template to open an issue.
It doesn’t hurt to ask here first if you aren’t sure whether it’s a bug or intended behavior. You may want to read through the docs FAQ as well to gain familiarity with some common points of confusion.
