Influxdb using More than 5GB of RAM

Hi All,

My influxdb uses more than 5GB of RAM and the whole machine is stuck.
What could be the possible reason for it and can someone please help me to resolve this.

Hi,
Do you have the Kapacitor service running? This service uses a lot of resources.
But about Influxdb it depends on number of connections but that 5 GB is a reasonable amount of RAM for 20 databases in my experience.

Hi @resquej,

I only have a single database.I do not have a Kapacitor service running. However i have multiple REST endpoint connections writing and reading data to influxdb.
