Is it okay to run the backup command while a 3rd party software is writing data on the influxdb server? Is there any pros and cons doing this?
I want to backup my data while still in production (someone is writing data), so I hope it’s okay to backup.

Hmmm I’m not quite sure. I think it depends on the write ingest, influxdb version, and backup size. I think in theory it should be okay. But if you have a large ingest volume and backup size I’d imagine you might be more susceptible to issues.
