How to INSERT if Changed

Hello,

I am new to InfluxDB and have my first Problem.

My Programm get the actual State of a sensor. I only want to save this data, if the Value has changed, because i save this Value 100 times a second and only the change is important.

Is this possible with influxDB?

No, but surely this would be easy to do in whatever program is reading the
sensor and then sending the data to InfluxDB?
