Changing shard expiry time

whenever i create a Retention policy the expiry time of the first shard group in that Retention policy is set to the next day.
For e.g.

if i create a retention policy r1 as following:
create retention policy r1 on db1 duration 90d replication 1 on 27-June-2019
then the expiry time of th first shard duration set to 28-June-2019

is there a way to change/modify/alter this expiry time so that i do not have to wait till tomorrow to see the effects of the retention policy?

You can add the shard duration …

create retention policy r1 on db1 duration 90d replication 1 shard duration 1h

Or
alter retention policy r1 on db1 duration 90d replication 1 shard duration 1h
