I understand that we can calculate cardinality based on the number of unique combinations of measurement, field key, and tag set. But what actually constitutes a high number? Should we think of it in terms of Big O?

Can the limit of 1M cardinality be overcome by splitting the data into different buckets (assuming that splitting the data will reduce the series cardinality, i.e. only a certain tag value will appear in a bucket)
