Telegraf 1.15.0-rc3 Now Available

Telegraf 1.15.0-rc2 is now available and you can find more details in the full changelog. This Release Candidate (RC) is the first step in moving towards a general release of Telegraf 1.15 and gives the community the opportunity to test and verify new features.

Please join us in testing this release and report any bugs or feedback to the issue tracker.

Release Notes

  • The logparser input is deprecated, use the tail input with data_format = "grok" as a replacement.
  • The cisco_telemetry_gnmi input has been renamed to gnmi to better reflect its general support for gNMI devices.
  • Several fields used primarily for debugging have been removed from the splunkmetric serializer, if you are making use of these fields they can be added back with the tag option.
  • Telegraf’s --test mode now runs processors and aggregators before printing metrics.
  • Official packages now built with Go 1.14.4.
  • When updating the Debian package you will no longer be prompted to merge the telegraf.conf file, instead the new version will be installed to /etc/telegraf/telegraf.conf.sample . The tar and zip packages now include the version in the top level directory.

Update July 16, 2020:
Telegraf 1.15.0-rc3 is now available. This Release Candidate (RC) fixes a few bugs found in Telegraf 1.15.0-rc2 including expiring old cached entries in the ifname processor, sending metrics in FIFO order, and updated Go versions. You can find more details in the full changelog.

Telegraf 1.15.0-rc4 is now available. This Release Candidate (RC) fixes a few bugs found in Telegraf 1.15.0-rc3 including a bugs to the ifname processor and initialization with processors that are run after aggregators. You can find more details in the full changelog.
