# Query about licensing of InfluxDB 2.x Open Source Time Series Database

We are in the process of bringing in the Linux compatible version of InfluxDB 2.x Open Source Time Series Database. My query is if this is a free and open-source product that can be leveraged without any cost and licensing obligations?

@mithunk41 Yes, InfluxDB v2 OSS (open source) uses the [MIT license](https://github.com/influxdata/influxdb/blob/main-2.x/LICENSE) and can be used without cost.
