I am attempting to install influxDB on ubuntu, but i am a NOOB when it comes to both of these platforms.

i have tried a few times to get this to work… but i am at a loss. Can anyone help me get started in the right direction?

I think this error is signaling that you have conflicting packages in the system. You can try to write over the package or remove the package and re-install it. Check out [this post](https://askubuntu.com/questions/1026739/dpkg-error-processing-archive-var-cache-apt-archives-cuda-cublas-9-1-9-1-85-3) on Ubuntu for some instructions for overriding and removing the package.
