# Kapacitor 1.6 already released or not?

Kapacitor 1.6 has been released one week ago according the the GitHub tag [Release v1.6.0 · influxdata/kapacitor · GitHub](https://github.com/influxdata/kapacitor/releases/tag/v1.6.0).

However, the CHANGELOG.md (from master, as of now) has no release date.

Also, the documentation is missing ([Kapacitor 1.6 Documentation](https://docs.influxdata.com/kapacitor/v1.6/) returns 404).

So, has Kapacitor 1.6 been released or not?

If not, what is the ETA for the 1.6 release?

I would say most likely something got pushed a bit early / out of the normal pipeline workflow, or defect may have been found at the last minute.

I would rely on the announcements and documentation updates as to whether the version is ready (eg. for prod usage. )
