# InfluxDB on a Azure VM (CIS Ubuntu 18.04 LTSB)

Hi all,

I´m starting with InfluxDB on a Azure VM with CIS Ubuntu (own vNet) and have some problems and I dont know where I have search. I know it is not related to the database but my hope is some can help.

First the VM doesn´t have a public IP we are going through a Application Gateway and vNet peering is up and running but when I login to Bomgar I cannot ping the VM within the main vNet.

Does CIS Ubuntu still need to be configured for communication?

Does any one know where problem maybe is?
