Deleted retention policy

Hi everyone,

I deleted old retention policy and influxdb probably drop all data saved during this retention policy was default. I have snapshot of HDD, but I don’t know how to restore this data and put it together with current data. It is 2 weeks since I did it…

I know that I can do something like this for all series:

select * INTO “metricsprod”.“new_rtp”.“kafka-publish-ok” FROM “metricsprod”.“old_rtp”.“kafka-publish-ok” GROUP BY *;

but I don’t understand the storrage as deep as I wont and can’t do next fail.

Hi Marek what was the duration of the retention policy that you Dropped ?
If that was for example 7d , the data would have been removed by now anyway .
Do you need to restore the dropped data ?
