Hello Everyone,

I am new to InfluxDB. May I know if there’s a way that a new database will be created if the its limit is met. I know a little about RP but is there a way without using RP?

What I’m trying to do is to delete all the data which has retention date of 14 days

Hi @ardel,

I’m not sure if I understand what you wrote here:

If you want to delete all data older than 14 days, then a [retention policy](https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v0.13/guides/downsampling_and_retention/#retention-policies) is the right way to do that. Could you explain why you would like to do this without using retention policies?
