The [documentation](https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v2/reference/internals/file-system-layout/?t=Windows#engine-path) outlines the directory structure of InfluxDB v2 and points to how to customize it. You have to provide custom paths, specifically for the for the following configuration options:

- [engine-path](https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v2/reference/config-options/#engine-path)
- [bolt-path](https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v2/reference/config-options/#bolt-path)
- [sqlite-path](https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v2/reference/config-options/#sqlite-path)

You can use either a config file, environment variables, or `influxd` command line flags to pass configuration options. The [InfluxDB configuration options documentation](https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v2/reference/config-options/) provides more information.
